- AgentMarrindale Plumbing. You're speaking with the after hours service. This call is recorded. What's happening?
- CallerThere's water coming out from under the sink. It's going everywhere.
- AgentIs it still running now, or has it stopped?
- CallerNo. Still going.
- AgentRight. Under the sink at the back, there should be a small tap on the pipe. Turn it clockwise until it stops. If you can't find it, the main tap is usually at the front of the house near the meter.
- CallerHang on. Yeah. Okay. That slowed it right down.
- AgentGood. I've got you as an emergency call out tonight. What's the address?
- Caller14 Bellbird Road, Cessnock.
- Agent14 Bellbird Road, Cessnock. Is that right?
- CallerThat's it.
- AgentAnd your name?
- CallerDave.
- AgentThanks, Dave. I've got your number from the call. Someone will ring you back within twenty minutes to give you a time. If the water starts up again before then, turn it off at the main and ring us straight back.
These are illustrative example calls with fictional businesses — not recordings of real customers. On a real call, every caller is told at the start that the call is recorded, and if someone asks whether they're speaking to a person, it tells them the truth.
